The vivo x21 introduced earlier this year, was the first smartphone to feature the in-display fingerprint scanner. Since then, a lot of companies, including Vivo, have rolled out various devices with the new biometric solution. However, recent leaks suggest that Vivo is now prepping up the successor to the device that started it all.
Recent reports suggest that Vivo is said to be working on the Vivo X21s, the successor to the Vivo X21. What's more is that the specifications of the device have already been leaked ahead of its launch.
The Vivo X21s is a minor update over the original Vivo X21. The "S" variant improves upon the display, the selfie camera, and the battery. The Vivo X21s comes with a 6.41-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340x1080p. There will also be a notch at the top. However, the design of the notch is yet to be confirmed
Under the hood, the X21s will pack in the same Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As for the cameras, there is a 12MP+5MP dual-camera setup on the back. According to reports, there could be a 25MP shooter hidden inside the notch.
Similar to the Vivo X21, the X21s will also come with a fingerprint scanner underneath the display. The device is likely to ship with Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouchOS on top of it. The setup is juiced up with a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support up to 18W.
The Vivo X21s is expected to be priced at around 300 EURO (~Rs. 30,000). What's more is that the leak suggests that the X21s will go on sale on November 15th. The initial market will, of course, be China. However, Vivo could opt to release the updated variant in International markets too.
